Logandran is a medical doctor by profession, working as the Medical Manager of Grey’s Hospital (a 510-bed tertiary/academic public hospital) in South Africa, which was the hospital managing the first COVID case in the country.  Logandran manages the medical and allied health services, consisting of over 600 staff (doctors, allied health professionals and various admin. and support staff). His previous work experience includes general health care management and academia. He holds qualifications in Public Health and Project Management, and possesses an MBA and PhD (Management).

Logandran’s interests are in the fields of LEAN thinking and quality management, specifically applied to healthcare. His extra-mural activities include cycling, gym, immersing himself in nature (hikes, beach, parks) and advocating for mental health.
