Dr Simon Tang is currently Director (Cluster Services) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority. As the Director (Cluster Services), Dr Tang’s main work portfolio includes overseeing service operation and transformation, encompassing cross-cluster coordination and performance, mission critical system-wide plans/ programmes, steering the development of public-private partnership projects, clinical programmes for chronic diseases, integrated Chinese and western medicine services, drug standardization and utilization policy, as well as ensuring optimal business support services. In addition, Dr Tang also oversees the medical, nursing and allied health grades management and development.

Prior to his existing role, Dr Tang was the Cluster Chief Executive of New Territories West Cluster with five hospitals and eight general out-patient clinics covering a population of over one million people. Dr Tang is an emergency physician by training with broad experience in healthcare administration.

Dr Tang has been a member of the IHF Governing Council since November 2020.
