Marty Ardron

Senior Vice President Hospital and Health Plan Operations

Kaiser Permanente Northern California Region

Marty Ardron, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Vice President for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals in Northern California. In this role, Marty has executive accountability over hospital and health plan operations for over 4.5 million members in the Northern California Region. He serves as the executive leader over functions such as Resource Management, Emergency Preparedness and Supply Chain. He also provides oversight for the Labor Management Partnership, a joint strategy between Kaiser Permanente (KP) and partnership unions to lead organizational change, to deliver exceptional service, quality, and operational results for KP members and patients.

Marty joined KP in 2016 where he served as Vice President for Continuum of Care Operations, ensuring KP members receive high-quality, post-acute health care in specialized facilities and at home. He then went on to serve as the Senior Vice President and Area Manager of the Diablo Service Area,

Marty is an active member of the Port City Board of Managers, a joint venture partnership with St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, CA and KP. In addition to his role at KP, Marty serves on a number of community and business boards that include the University of Pacific Board of Regents, the Board of Directors for Contra Costa Economic Partnership, the Board of Directors for the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Healthcare Management for the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Marty served as the Division Vice President at Kindred Healthcare where he was responsible for transitional care hospitals in the Western United States and as Regional Vice President for Kindred’s RehabCare and PeopleFirst Divisions. Marty completed his physical therapy training at Loma Linda University, earned a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and is a graduate of the Harvard Executive Leadership program.
