Mary Nash

Mary Nash, PhD, is vice president, Organization Development and Learning, for NYU Langone Health, a four-hospital, 42,000+ employee academic health system headquartered in New York.  Passionate about supporting organizations, teams and individuals to thrive, and working at the intersection of research and practice, Mary has more than 30 years’ experience as a leader and consultant in healthcare and other industries, including technology, manufacturing, construction, financial services, retail, education, and government.  Prior to NYU Langone, Mary served as vice president, Organization and Leadership Development for Vidant Health, an eight-hospital academic health system in North Carolina, and prior to that served as associate vice president, Talent Management and Leadership Development, for Rush in Chicago.  Mary is an executive coach holding the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential of the International Coach Federation, and has taught courses in change, power and influence, coaching, and other leadership topics at universities in the United States (Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, George Mason University, Benedictine University, Fielding Graduate University) and abroad (Helsinki School of Economics and Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University), and ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara, in Tlaquepaque, Mexico). Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art (James Madison University), master’s degrees in Education (James Madison University) and Psychology (Longwood University), and a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University.  Mary has published several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles, including in The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, and The Journal of Behavioral Health Services and Research.
