Seema Wadhwa is the Executive Director of Environmental Stewardship at Kaiser Permanente, a leading not-for-profit health plan serving 12.5 million members across the nation. In her role, Seema leads and oversees the organization's environmental stewardship initiatives, strategies, and programs. She collaborates across various functions focused on driving the organization's commitment to environmental stewardship. This includes a focus on reducing the organizations environmental footprint, fostering equitable and inclusive environmental and health actions within communities and collaborating with others for systemic change. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Seema served as the Assistant Vice President of Sustainability and Wellness at Inova Health System in Virginia. Additionally, Seema played a key role as a national director for the Healthier Hospital Initiatives, collaborating with 1,300 hospitals nationwide to promote sustainable and climate-conscious solutions. Seema, originally from Canada and with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alberta, began her career in construction and now dedicates herself to building healthier, more equitable communities.
