1st World Patients Conference
The World Patients Alliance (WPA) is the largest international patient’s organization that is working across all disease areas and in all regions of the world. Its 1st World Patients Conference was a two-day event bringing together global leaders of patients organizations, healthcare stakeholders, and leading patient advocates from all around the world.
The conference’s theme was “New Normal, New Challenges for Patients.” Since the worldwide pandemic, healthcare has changed dramatically. Both patients and healthcare providers have faced unprecedented challenges in recent years, and a new normal is emerging. This new normal is being adjusted by both patients and healthcare providers. Panellists included Dr Risto Miettunen, Past President of the IHF.
