APAH 11th Value Conference: “Green Hospitals and Sustainability”
The Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators (APAH), an IHF Premier Associate member, organized its 11th Value Conference, titled “Green Hospitals and Sustainability”, from 20 to 22 October 2022.
The Value Conference is a regular gathering for APAH’s membership, providing an opportunity to identify solutions to face present and future challenges and to build bridges between stakeholders to improve the quality and excellence of health outcomes in Portugal.
With most panellists and initiatives coming from Portugal, the Geneva Sustainability Centre was approached to present an international perspective and practical examples from across the world to move towards net zero healthcare. The session was chaired by Leandro Luis, Hospital Administrator at Central Lisbon University Hospital and member of the IHF YEL Alumni, with the presentation on international perspectives given by Sylvia Basterrechea.
The conference was an opportunity to reinforce synergies between members of APAH and the Geneva Sustainability Centre to make the most out of the IHF conference: organize relevant activities to raise awareness and promote action towards climate resilience, to showcase Portuguese best practices and to make a climate-friendly event.
