40th World Hospital Congress: Durban

The 40st IHF World Hospital Congress was hosted by the Department of Health of the Republic of South Africa on 31 October – 3 November 2016 in Durban, South Africa with the overarching theme “Addressing the Challenge of Patient-Centered Care and Safety”. It was a huge success with over 800 participants from 48 countries. The event covered the themes of capacity building in leadership and management, financing and universal health coverage, governance and accountability, quality of care, innovation in delivery of care and hospital services, technology’s role in determining clinical pathways in patient care.
