Leading for sustainability: Best practices in the UK and Norway
Join us on an international study tour designed for hospital executives committed to advancing sustainability in healthcare. From 1 to 6 February 2026, participants will explore how hospitals in the United Kingdom and Norway are responding to today’s pressing environmental challenges. The programme will highlight approaches to circular economy, waste management, sustainable architecture, and green healthcare practices.
The tour will start in London with an introduction to the British healthcare system, with a focus on its innovative sustainability initiatives. Participants will then visit hospitals in London and Oslo leading the way in ecological practices and engage directly with experts across environmental services, logistics, and clinical operations. The programme also includes a hands-on workshop on the Carbon Emissions Learning Lab (CELL), a learning tool for navigating net zero.

In Norway, the programme includes:
- Directorate of Health
- Oslo University Hospital
- Diakonhjemmet Hospital
Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a GSC workshop featuring the Carbon Emissions Learning Lab (CELL), an interactive tool that teaches learners that action for low-carbon healthcare is possible.
