Protecting health care from violence

A conversation with the international health care workforce, organized in collaboration with the International Council of Nurses, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the World Medical Association.

  • Advocate for safety – insights on the global trend of violent incidents against health care settings and personnel, and the driving factors of these incidents.
  • Share your experiences – exchanges with peers who are engaged in the direct implementation of violence mitigation measures worldwide.
  • Turn awareness into action – examples of good practices and successful actions for the prevention and reduction of violence against health care.

A panel of international speakers discussed their experience in tackling or mitigating violence, including safe working environments or the safety of health care personnel. Participants were able submit questions before and during the session in a direct conversation with the panellists.
