Inaugurated on June 23, 1989, Asan Medical Center stands as the largest tertiary hospital in Korea. It has been established to embody the founding principles of Asan Foundation founder Chung Ju-yung, ‘helping the underprivileged of our society.’ AMC is Korea’s largest medical institution with 2,700 beds, and 67 operating rooms, with 1,700 physicians and surgeons, 3,500 nurses.
