Royal Hospital is located on Digfer Street in Hodan District, Mogadishu, Somalia. It was established at the end of 2021 with a 15-bed capacity and a small number of core departments, including General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, ENT, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, and Dental Care. Since then, the hospital has expanded significantly and now operates with over 70 beds. In 2025, we established a dedicated Public Health Unit, which includes a fully functional Research Department, Quality Assurance and Safety Unit, Environmental Cleaning Services, and a Customer Care Center. Our laboratory has also been upgraded to support both clinical and research functions.
Today, Royal Hospital employs over 200 permanent staff members, including 24 medical specialists. These include both Somali and international doctors, each bringing valuable experience and expertise to our team. Royal Hospital remains committed to providing safe, high-quality, and accessible healthcare, while also contributing to scientific research and service improvement through continuous development and publication efforts.
