Teladoc Health’s Dr Lewis Levy delivers masterclass to young executive leaders of hospitals worldwide

On 29 September, Dr Lewis Levy joins the line-up of speakers providing masterclasses to inspire participants in the International Hospital Federation’s (IHF) Young Executive Leaders (YEL) programme. This 7-month programme, in partnership with the global executive search and leadership advisory firm WittKieffer, blends opportunities to advance and co-create knowledge, develop leadership skills, and build an international network.

Dr Levy will share his experience as a member of the IHF’s Special Interest Group (SIG) on Telehealth, which facilitates knowledge exchange, collaboration, and access to good practices on the role of digital technology in hospitals and healthcare systems globally.

In his masterclass, Dr Levy will discuss the rapid evolution of virtual care over the past 18 months, commenting on the impact of the global pandemic on healthcare delivery and how future regulatory changes will need to be considered to solidify the gains. He will introduce the concept of whole person care delivered virtually and discuss the opportunities ahead for integrating virtual care seamlessly with the rest of healthcare delivery. Dr Levy will present Primary 360, which delivers a world class primary care experience to patients through this groundbreaking program, as well as Teladoc Health’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

In addition to masterclasses and networking events, the 33 participants in the 2021 YEL programme are working in subgroups to report on important topics faced by today’s hospital leaders.

Speaking about the impact of delivering a masterclass, CJ Bolster, Managing Director of Global Operations at WittKieffer and Co-Chair of the YEL Steering Committee, said:

“These masterclasses are a unique opportunity for the Young Executive Leaders (YEL) participants to learn from best practices in terms of healthcare delivery and hospital management, while interacting with experts across the world.

Having Teladoc Health, a world leader in digital healthcare, talking with the participants about whole-person virtual care and corporate social responsibility will resonate with their current practices, feed their ambitions to have a long-lasting impact on their organizations, and provide tools to improve healthcare delivery overall.”

The IHF also looks forward to welcoming this year’s YEL programme participants to the World Hospital Congress 2021, which is a hybrid event taking place in Barcelona (8–11 November) with full virtual attendance possible. They will also benefit from a further networking and leadership development opportunity at the IHF’s virtual knowledge exchange on green hospitals and sustainability in healthcare on 7 October.
