Aafke de Graaff

As Director Quality at the PharmAccess Foundation, de Graaff is responsible for the strategic development of SafeCare, including digital innovations and partnerships. SafeCare comprises of internationally (IEEA) accredited standards, digital tools and a stepwise certification approach to improve the quality of care in healthcare facilities, tailor-made for the realities of resource-limited settings. Currently, impacting 36 partners in 25 countries with a reach of over 9,000 facilities and more than 7 million patients per month. SafeCare is implemented by private healthcare provider networks, such as the Christian Healthcare Association of Ghana, and with local or national governments in the likes of Kenya, Zanzibar, Nigeria and Ghana. De Graaff holds a degree in Movement Sciences and a Medicine degree at the University of Amsterdam, specialized in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine and served at several medical and political boards.
