Ms Simpson currently oversees the quality, patient safety, and infection prevention and control portfolio at a large mental health tertiary care hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Ms Simpson holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, and two undergraduate degrees from Queen’s University. Ms Simpson is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa. She is also course faculty for the Canadian Patient Safety Officer Program. She has taken multiple advanced trainings in quality and patient safety.

Ms Simpson is thrilled to be joining the Young Executive Leaders programme. Having worked in many different parts of the health care system, she is incredibly interested in how health systems across the world are set up in order to deliver the best outcomes for patients.
