Dr. Sadaf is a pediatric hematologist and oncologist who is currently head of her department at the largest cancer network in Pakistan. She completed her medical education from the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. She then moved to the United States of America where she completed her training in general pediatrics at the University of Florida, followed by training in pediatric hematology-oncology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. She moved back to Pakistan in 2021 to contribute to the advancement of pediatric oncology services.
As an executive board member of the Pakistan Society of Pediatric Oncology and inaugural chair of the National Pediatric Cancer Registration Program of Pakistan, she is committed to improving the outcomes for childhood cancer in the region. Her clinical and research interests are in sarcomas and rare cancers in children. She is also passionate about humanitarian health for refugee populations and is a NextGen Humanitarian Scholar on the CHH-Lancet Commission on Health, Conflict and Forced Displacement.
Through the YEL program, she aspires to improve her skills as a leader in healthcare, and forge meaningful connections with other healthcare leaders to make clinical, research, and humanitarian collaborations in the region a reality.
