Dr Cynthia Omina is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer at MP Shah Hospital. She is a Healthcare Executive, driven by passion for health service delivery and health systems strengthening. She has both clinical and operational experience, shaping healthcare facilities to align their strategy with their clinical and business goals.

In addition to her background in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi, she holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a subspecialisation in Management of Health Systems from the University of Liverpool, UK. She is a continuing student at Strathmore University pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialisation in Healthcare Management. She is a member of American College of Health Executives.

Prior to her current role, she has worked in various capacities as a healthcare administrator, clinician and a quality improvement officer. The above shaped her desire to create an impact towards patient care from a more global perspective. She therefore looks forward to learning from her peers around the world through this program.
