Dr Luís Teles

Dr Luís Teles is a young physician with a postgraduate degree in Health Institution Management, who dedicates his work to critical and emergency care patients. Trained in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, he currently serves as the Coordinator of the Emergency Room, a part from his Critical Care activity and dedicates part of his weekly working time as the Head of the Emergency Department.

Additionally, he collaborates with the National Institute of Medical Emergency of Portugal at the Patient Guidance Center for Urgent Cases, coordinating and managing a range of emergency resources selected based on the clinical condition of the victims, providing the most appropriate assistance in the shortest possible time.

He also contributes to the Medical Emergency Helicopter Service, participating in the air transport of critically ill patients between the scene of the incident and the healthcare facility, as well as locally with the Emergency and Resuscitation teams.
