Dr Scott Mahoney

Dr Scott Mahoney is a South Africa trained medical doctor who has practiced across the full care continuum, from rural primary-care clinics to urban tertiary hospitals, within both public and private sectors. His early career as a clinical trialist fostered a deep respect for rigorous evidence and sparked an interest in digital health. Combining this with his curiosity and sustained exposure to the technology industry has equipped him to bridge the gap between tech and health-systems. At the Gates Foundation he focuses on supporting programs that aim to improve quality, access and equity of care in low- and middle-income countries.
