Dr Tewodros Abule Bilata is the chief executive officer and consultant general surgeon at Zewditu Memorial Hospital. He has 15 years of experience as a clinician and had diverse positions of leadership in different hospitals in Ethiopia.
As a general surgeon, he performed over 5,000 elective and emergency procedures. For three years, he held a variety of positions at Wachemo University, including assistant professor of surgery, head of the surgery department, and dean of school of medicine. For a year and a half, he served as the head of the surgery department and the medical director at Menilik II Comprehensive Specialized Hospital.
He attended Harvard University's online course Fundamentals of Clinical Research and did an Endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery internship at Zaklad Opieki Zdrowtnej W Garwolinie, Samodzielny publiczny. He is Passionate about clinical research, quality improvement, and health care leadership.
