Fatima Ali Alhajri is a dedicated, distinguished leader in healthcare quality and safety, with a background in medical lab technologies. She holds a master’s degree in quality and safety in healthcare management from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.
Her passion for quality led her to join the Ambulatory Health Care Services as a Quality Officer, where she steadily advanced in her career. As Quality Manager, she led the quality and patient safety program across the network, overseeing performance management, KPI monitoring, and JCI accreditation. Her contributions also include the development of a comprehensive policy management system, an excellence framework, and a robust data management system, all of which aim to elevate the quality of healthcare services.
Recently appointed as the Division Director of Quality and Safety at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Ms Al Alhajri now plays a key role in implementing quality improvement initiatives across the healthcare network and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Her expertise and leadership continue to drive excellence in patient care and to enhance patient safety
Ms Al Alhajri is at the forefront of several strategic initiatives within the Department of Health. She leads key projects such as the Jawda Automation, which aims to streamline healthcare quality data, and the Hospital Rating Methodology, designed to enhance transparency and accountability in healthcare services. Additionally, she spearheads the Patient Safety Taxonomy Strategy, focusing on improving patient outcomes through effective safety practices.
