Karine Martinez has served as Deputy for the Chief Executive’s Office and External Affairs at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) since 2012. In this capacity, she acts as a key liaison with international partners, fostering coordination, strategic alignment, and coherence across joint initiatives.
With a strong background in economics, econometrics, and project management, she previously led the headquarters of the Geneva-based NGO WAIPA (World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies) from 2004 to 2010, working closely with governments and international organizations in the field of investment promotion.
Over the course of her career, she has been commissioned by international organizations to lead targeted projects and has also contributed to academia as a lecturer at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG) and Geneva Business School (GBS).
