Margie Hjorth

As the inaugural Group Director of Nursing at Icon Group, Margaret Hjorth leads global nursing strategy to strengthen clinical governance, workforce capability, and improve cancer care outcomes. With 20+ years in radiation oncology nursing, she has shaped national practice standards, including authoring the Practice Principles for Patients Undergoing Radiation Therapy. She has served on the CNSA Board, contributing to national leadership in cancer nursing, and represents Icon Group in the participation agreement with the American Cancer Society as part of the Global Alliance for Cancer Patient Navigation Project, and works with the City Cancer Challenge Foundation to improve cancer services in lower‑ and middle‑income cities worldwide. These partnerships reflect her strong commitment to strengthening global cancer‑care capacity and advancing equitable access to high‑quality treatment.
