Tony Farley is Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association, Australia’s national peak body for public and not-for-profit hospitals and healthcare providers. Founded in 1946, it maintains its vision for an effective, innovative and sustainable health system where all Australians have equitable access to health care of the highest standard when and where they need it.
Tony Farley is bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in workplace relations, change management, and dispute resolution across government, unions, health, and education sectors.
In his role at AHHA Ltd, Tony is committed to supporting a high-functioning, well-funded, and interconnected health system that meets the diverse needs of all Australians. He leads with a focus on collaboration, evidence-based policy, and sustainable innovation, helping AHHA Ltd drive systemwide transformation through Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) and human-centred design.
Tony’s career includes senior executive roles at NSW Health and leadership in employment relations, where he championed flexible, values-driven workplaces. His expertise in negotiation, policy development, and cooperative change management is grounded in a strong foundation of research and tribunal representation.
With a personal connection to healthcare through his family and a deep belief in the importance of lifelong learning, Tony is dedicated to helping AHHA Ltd navigate the challenges and opportunities facing Australia’s health system.
Mr Farley became a member of the IHF Governing Council Member in May 2025.
