Amanda is currently the CALHN EDON and holds multiple Associate or Adjunct Professor roles across Australia. Amanda has 19 years of nursing experience within 16 public and private hospitals across Australia, the United Kingdom National Health Service and voluntarily in Africa. Prior to CALHN Amanda worked in executive workforce planning positions for Metro North Health and the QLD Department of Health, Office of the Chief Nurse, and Midwifery Officer.
She has completed a Bachelor of Nursing in the top 15% in Australasia and as such is a member of the Golden International Honour Society. She has completed a Master of Nursing (Perioperative) with Distinction that focused on management, education, and research, and a Master of Business Administration. Amanda teaches and voluntarily mentors N&M students and Australian Indigenous scholarship business students.
Amanda is an active member of the Ngai Tahu New Zealand Māori tribe. Amanda’s interests include promoting nursing and building a sustainable workforce with digitised systems that excel in patient, staff, and organisational safety.
