Teresa Magalhães, PhD in Public Health (Nova University of Lisbon, 2016), is a Professor at the National School of Public Health, NOVA University of Lisbon (NOVA-NSPH), where she has been teaching since 2008.
She is also a member of the Comprehensive Health Research Center at NOVA University of Lisbon. She coordinates the Specialization Programme in Hospital Management at NOVA-NSPH. In recent years, she has been actively engaged in research and the promotion of digital health and information management, with a track record that includes multiple projects as well as the supervision of PhD, master’s, and postgraduate students.
She is also an experienced hospital manager, having served as CEO of the Red Cross Hospital, Member of the Board at the Hospital Center of Setúbal, and Advisor for Innovation at the University Hospital Center of Lisbon North. Additionally, she is a member of the EHMA Scientific Advisory Committee and of the Sustainability Council of NOVA University of Lisbon.
Prof. Magalhães joined the IHF Governing Council in November 2025.
