Shruti Patel

Shruti Patel is the Director, Nursing Professional Practice at The Royal. She provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for nursing professional practice across the organization. Shruti is responsible for advancing nursing services that are aligned with The Royal’s strategic priorities, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in mental health care. In her role, Shruti leads the development and implementation of nursing policies, standards, and education programs, while ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and evidence-informed care. She oversees strategic workforce planning, staff engagement, and operational effectiveness to support a high-performing, patient-centered nursing team. Shruti also fosters strong academic and interprofessional partnerships and champions nursing-led research, innovation, and knowledge mobilization. Shruti plays a key role in shaping nursing practice within a dynamic and evolving mental health system.
