Dr François-Xavier Duchateau

François-Xavier Duchateau graduated as Medical Doctor in 1997 and has been working as an emergency physician since then. He led the Emergency Department at Beaujon Hospital (part of Greater Paris University Hospitals, AP-HP) for 5 years. In parallel, he made his way into the insurance industry, working during 25 years in Allianz. He began by providing direct care to customers in the field of International Medical Assistance, and subsequently held various prominent positions globally. Just before joining BUPA, he was serving as the Group Chief Medical Officer of Allianz Partners. François-Xavier joined BUPA in October 2024 as Group Medical Director, responsible of Clinical Governance, Clinical Insights, Education and Research.
